Dear Investor,

You are on this page because you heard about an amazing new startup founded by an amazing woman redefining what’s possible in the world of Digital Asset Management (D.AM.)!

We are at the early stages of developing a new software that will help teams collaborate and manage creative assets, including graphics, videos, photos, and documents – any file (or asset) that a marketing, advertising or creative team might be working on can be stored, organized and managed through this software.

Think of it as Dropbox for enterprise-level teams… but 10x better because we’re addressing needs of multi-location users with more complex file management and organization requirements.

We are not just building a software—we’re creating a movement to make improve the workflow and sanity of enterprise marketing and creative teams. We invite you to join us at the ground level as we revolutionize digital asset management. Together, we can turn this opportunity into the next big success story.

Did you know that less than 4% of startup founders are women. And of that 4%, black women founders received a mere 0.27% of all venture capital funding? YIKES!

You can make a difference and be a change maker
when you support this venture.

FOUNDER BACKGROUND

Founder Highlights

  • Over 15 years of experience in the branding, marketing industry, specializing in brand strategy as a business model.
  • Bootstrapped my entire entrepreneurial career, celebrating 14 years as a successful business owner of a woman-owned business.
  • Currently provide branding and marketing services for the most prominent leadership development brand in the world as Executive Vice President of Branding and Head of Global Marketing, developing and executing branding/marketing campaigns that have generated millions of dollars in revenue, year over year.
  • Over 15 years of real-world, hands-on experience with creating and utilizing branded assets.

Distance Traveled: Growing up in predominately white, rural town in the south prepared me for life! All throughout school, I faced racism from my white teachers more so than my classmates. I distinctly remember a black teacher working with my mom to insist the school let me into the “gifted” program because my grades were higher than the white kids who go to participate in the program.

Had it not been for my having an advocate on the inside, I would never have been admitted. Learning this at an early age (I was in 4th grade), made me realize I had to learn to cope with racism and prejudice and not let it get me down. I learned to be better, think faster, speak up and not let others take credit for my work. I also learned to be my best at more than one thing – I played sports – was on the starting team in basketball, ran track – was on the relay team, and was in the band – captain of drill team sophomore and junior year, then became the first black woman to be drum major in the history of my high school.

Learning how to not just be good, but be great, gave me a lot of confidence in myself as I navigated college at a much more diverse school (Georgia State University… go Panthers!), and eventually throughout my career. Today, I find myself the only woman at times, and the only person of color more times than not, in boardrooms and corporations.

By carving a path for myself in the branding and marketing industry, I have learned so much about enterprise branding and marketing. My dream is to have a voice in this space by being a go-to solution for companies who need the software I’m developing.

Differences as Strengths: I’ve come to discover that having both technical problem solving and creative design happening in the same mind is a rare thing! I’ve been a graphic designer and a web designer for over 15 years, so I have an appreciation for both beautiful design as well as function.

Why Brandgelica®, and why now?

I started developing this software out of that my own clients have. During COVID, many of my clients reached out to me to find important branded assets that I had created for them – logos, marketing campaign assets, training manuals, etc. Even though at the end of our projects, I had uploaded all of their assets to their Dropbox or Drive, with their teams dispersed remotely, no one knew where to look. So, they called me.

This was not one client. Not two, but 5 different clients in totally different industries had no clue who to call to locate their files. It was like the idea of logging into Dropbox was the same as dropping them off in a foreign place and leaving them to find their way home with no GPS, no phone a friend, and no compass.

Thankfully, I am a file hoarder, and lucky for them, I am really great at organizing files. For many of the projects, I could go through my archives, locate their assets quickly, and restore most of the files. But, I realized, that if I wasn’t as organized and intentional about naming my files and tagging them with keywords, I would not have been able to help them.

It turns out, this is a common problem with file storage – people who don’t have a system for storing the files, will just do whatever works for them. But if they are no longer around, like in the case of my clients during COVID, it’s not easy to go behind someone and find the files.

The File Storage Nightmare is REAL!

Apparently my clients are not the only ones having these problems. Bestselling author (and professional troublemaker) Luvvie has struggled with online file management for years:

It was out of this “a-ha” moment that the idea for Brandgelica® was born. With AI-based naming, tagging and organizing technology, we aim to simplify and streamline online file storage so ANYONE on anybody’s team at any location can store, and most importantly, locate a company’s assets with ease!

LET'S CHANGE THE D.A.M. WORLD, TOGETHER!
